Discover Original Artwork
Explore the Artwork XL collection and discover original paintings, contemporary art, mixed media artwork, and sculptures by Monique de Kruijk.
Monique’s work moves between modern pop art, contemporary portraits, abstract art, mixed media, and sculptural wall art. Her creative process is driven by experimentation with materials, color, movement, texture, and unexpected combinations. Some artworks are bold and colorful. Others are more expressive, abstract, or playful. What they have in common is that each artwork is made to stand on its own.
Every original artwork is created by Monique herself, making each piece a unique addition to your home, office, or collection.

Paintings & Sculptures
Contemporary Paintings
Discover colorful contemporary paintings, modern pop art, contemporary portraits, abstract artworks, and mixed media paintings. Monique experiments with acrylic paint, spray paint, markers, different surfaces, and a variety of materials to create expressive and distinctive images.
Wall Sculptures
The Face 2 Face collection brings contemporary wall sculpture to life through recognizable male and female faces, unexpected materials, humor, and visual details. These sculptural artworks are designed to catch the eye and add character to an interior.
Freestanding Sculptures
Artwork XL also features original freestanding sculptures, combining materials, form, humor, and storytelling in distinctive three-dimensional artworks.
Art Online & in Person
You can explore and purchase available Artwork XL pieces online, wherever you are in the world.
But original art is often best experienced in person.
The texture of the materials, the details, the scale, and the way the artwork interacts with light can be difficult to capture completely in a photograph.
That’s why Artwork XL also offers opportunities to experience Monique’s artwork in person through exhibitions and studio visits.
Visit Artwork XL in Terheijden
Starting in December 2026, Artwork XL will also welcome visitors to Monique’s new studio and personal gallery at Raadhuisstraat 15 in Terheijden, The Netherlands.
The studio is where Monique creates her artwork and where visitors can experience her original paintings and sculptures up close.
Every Wednesday, the studio will be open for casual drop-in visits. No appointment is needed: just ring the doorbell and come on in, once the door is opened, of course! ;)
Prefer another day? Studio visits can also be arranged by appointment.
Take your time, explore the artwork, ask questions, meet the artist, and enjoy a coffee in a relaxed setting.
Meet Monique at an Art Exhibition
Artwork XL regularly participates in art exhibitions and events, giving you the opportunity to see Monique’s original artwork in person and, when possible, meet the artist herself.
Check the upcoming exhibitions below to see where you can discover Artwork XL next.
Whether you find her artwork online, at an exhibition, or in her studio, one thing remains the same:
The art is original. The materials are real. The work is handmade. And every piece has a story of its own.
